Hi, I’m Amira Khan, a DU Customer Success Manager with over a decade of experience helping users like you navigate DU’s services seamlessly. Whether you’re a new DU customer or simply forgot your number, I’m here to guide you through the easiest ways to check your DU number in under 60 seconds. Let’s dive in!
Why Knowing Your DU Number Matters
As someone who started my career as a DU call center agent, I’ve seen how frustrating it can be when you can’t remember your number. Whether you’re activating a new plan, sharing your number with a friend, or troubleshooting an issue, having quick access to your DU number is essential. That’s why I’ve curated these 6 simple methods to help you find your DU number effortlessly.
6 Easy Ways to Check Your DU Number
1. Dial 116# (Instant Method)
This is my go-to recommendation for its speed and simplicity.
- Open your phone’s dial pad.
- Dial *116# and press the call button.
- Your DU number will appear on your screen instantly.
Why I Love This Method: It works on all phones, even basic keypad models, and doesn’t require an internet connection.
2. Use the DU App
As a tech enthusiast, I always recommend the DU app for managing your account.
- Download the DU App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Log in to your account (or create one if you’re new).
- Go to My Account > Overview to view your number and other details.
Pro Tip: The DU app also lets you check your balance, activate plans, and troubleshoot issues—all in one place.
3. Check the SIM Packet
When you buy a new DU SIM, your number is printed on the packet.
- Locate the original DU SIM packet.
- Check the front or back for your number and PUK code.
Why This Works: It’s a lifesaver if you’ve misplaced your phone or don’t have access to it.
4. Look for Activation SMS
When you activate your DU SIM, you’ll receive a welcome SMS with your number.
- Open your phone’s Messages app.
- Search for an SMS from DU (usually sent during activation).
- Your number will be mentioned in the message.
Bonus: Keep this SMS handy for future reference.
5. Call or Message a Friend
If you have call or SMS balance, this method is quick and easy.
- Call or message a friend or family member.
- Ask them to share the number displayed on their screen.
Note: This method works only if you have an active call or SMS balance.
6. Send an SMS to 1355
Another quick way to check your DU number is by sending an SMS.
- Open your phone’s Messages app.
- Type “NUMBER” and send it to 1355.
- You’ll receive an SMS with your DU number shortly.
Bonus Tip: Check SIM Details via TDRA
If you want to view all SIM numbers registered under your name, use the TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) portal:
- Visit the TDRA website.
- Log in using your Emirates ID and UAE Pass.
- View all SIM numbers registered under your name, regardless of the network.
